Sassuolo's Late Goal Rescues Draw Against Carrarese

U.S. Sassuolo Calcio and Carrarese Calcio 1908 played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in their Serie B match on Saturday, with Sassuolo scoring a late goal to salvage a point.

Sassuolo's Fast Start

Sassuolo began the match brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute through a stunning strike from Domenico Berardi. The visitors continued to dominate possession and created several chances, but they were unable to extend their advantage before the break.

Carrarese's Fightback

Carrarese came out firing in the second half and drew level in the 55th minute through a close-range finish from Gianluca Gaetano. Sassuolo regained the lead ten minutes later when Hamed Traore converted a penalty, but Carrarese refused to give up.

Late Drama

Carrarese equalized for a second time in the 80th minute through a header from Gabriele Zappa. The visitors then took the lead for the first time in the match when Gaetano scored his second goal of the game in the 85th minute.

However, Sassuolo refused to be beaten and grabbed a dramatic equalizer in the 93rd minute through a close-range finish from Grégoire Defrel. The goal sparked wild celebrations among the home fans and earned Sassuolo a valuable point.

The result leaves Sassuolo in fourth place in Serie B, while Carrarese remains in 19th place.
